They are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Project Architect to join their Philadelphia-based team. This role will engage all phases of architectural practice, including planning, programming, design, visualization, and technical development, while leading the documentation and delivery of high-profile projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver architectural documentation from concept through construction.
- Research and ensure compliance with building codes and feasibility of design solutions.
- Manage project budgets, work plans, schedules, and consultant coordination.
- Communicate key deliverables with Project Manager and project team.
- Develop design solutions that meet client specifications.
- Prepare Project Manuals and Specifications.
- Maintain collaborative professional relationships with the project team.
- Act as intermediary between client and architectural team.
- Facilitate team communication through meetings, minutes, and project updates.
- Ensure project documentation meets company standards.
- Coordinate team efforts to complete projects on schedule and budget.
- Oversee construction administration, including processing submittals and RFIs.
- Provide office leadership, mentorship, and professional development for staff.
- Other duties as required; travel and overtime may be expected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- 6+ years of experience as a Project Architect in sports, entertainment, or public assembly projects.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, construction, building systems, and site requirements.
- Registered Architect with active license; NCARB certification a plus.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam; Microsoft Project, Photoshop, and LEED a plus.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to lead design and technical project aspects.
